The most Winter Olympic medals won in men’s cross-country skiing is 12, by Bjørn Dæhlie (Norway) from 1992 to 1998. He won two golds each in the 25 km combined pursuit, 4 x 10 km, 50 km and 10 km. Dæhlie also won four silvers, for a total of 12 medals. He also took silver twice in the 30 km, and once in the 4 x 10 km and the combined pursuit.
