The most people performing the cobra pose (yoga) simultaneously (multiple locations) is 1,596 and was achieved by Lokmat Campus Club, Pravin Masalewale and C M International School, Balewadi (all India) on the occasion of International Yoga Day, on 19 June 2025.
The attempt helped to promote the idea of health and fitness to school children (participants) through the medium of yoga. Lokmat Campus Club was established by Lokmat 25 years ago and the record attempt was to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the initiative. Yoga was chosen as the theme because the date of the attempt was close to International Yoga Day (21st June).
