The Mass Effect trilogy lets fans play out a love affair across three games, incorporating romantic decisions made in the first game, Mass Effect (BioWare, 2007), into Mass Effect 2 (BioWare, 2010) and then Mass Effect 3 (BioWare, 2012). Liara, a scientific prodigy from the Asari species of aliens in the game, is one of the few characters who can be wooed over all three games, via Mass Effect 2’s “Lair OF The Shadow Broker” DLC and extending to Mass Effect 3’s 2013 “Citadel” DLC. It spans two-and-a-half in-game years and five real-world years!
