The largest historical re-enactment is 17,601 people, and was achieved at the Morismas de Bracho organized by Secretaría de Turismo de Zacatecas y la Cofradía de San Juan Bautista (both Mexico) in Ciudad de Zacatecas, Zacatecas, Mexico on 31 August 2025.
Held at the end of August at the foot of San Bernabé Hill in Lomas de Bracho, this festival honors Saint John the Baptist and recreates, with masterful theatricality, the historical clashes between Moors and Christians. Its origins and staging are linked to a tradition that, in addition to being present in various regions of Mexico, is also practiced in Spain and other Latin American countries.
