Tallest drag performer

The tallest drag performer is Kay Long (Israel), who measured 199.7 cm (6 ft 6.62 in) in Tel Aviv, Israel, on 16 December 2024.

Kay started drag in 1999 when she moved from her hometown of Be’er Sheva to Tel Aviv in Israel.

She owns a costume design studio called Houte Kay Ture in the city, as well as a workshop in Bangkok, Thailand, and creates clothing for herself and other performers.

Kay told GWR: “Because I design my own outfits, I really love every one of them as if they were my children.

“A year ago, I performed at Tel Aviv's Cultural Hall in a costume made from 40 m (43.74 yards) of tulle, in which four dancers hid inside and came out of in the middle of the show,” she recalled. “Obviously, the audience were astonished and surprised.”

Reflecting on what she loves most about drag, Kay said: “The most important thing for me is to make my audience happy, to make people laugh and believe in themselves, and to see me, a different and special person who despite all of their differences managed to succeed, become famous and live life without fear.

“I want to empower other people, especially teenagers,” she added.
