Mysuru Dasara is a world-famous, 10-day annual festival in Mysuru, Karnataka, India, celebrating the victory of Goddess Chamundeshwari (Durga) over the demon Mahishasura, from whom the city derives its name.
This year, the Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation Limited, Mysore and Energy Department, Government of Karnataka sought to mark the festival’s legacy with a Guinness World Records title through a large-scale drone light show. The aim was to celebrate Mysuru’s cultural heritage, showcase Karnataka’s pride on a global stage, and blend tradition with modern technology to create an iconic milestone for the festival.
