Highest attendance for a music tour by a female artist

Taylor Swift (USA) presented her Eras Tour to 10,168,008 fans in 21 countries and 51 cities across five continents between 17 March 2023 and 8 December 2024. The first music tour to gross $1 billion (£817.7 million, in November 2023) and the highest-grossing music tour on record ($2,077,618,725, or £1,629,875,269) consisted of 149 performances, with Swifties paying around $204 (£160) per seat to listen to the superstar belt out 40-plus songs spanning her entire career, from “Tim McGraw” to “The Manuscript”. According to reports, The Eras Tour is also estimated to have generated about $400 million (£313.8 million) in merchandise sales.

Highlights included a crowd of 96,000 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia in February 2024 (the biggest single-show attendance of the tour), a three-day turnout of 217,635 at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, in May 2023, and multiple (often back-to-back) dates at the SoFi Stadium (Inglewood, California), Mexico City’s Foro Sol (now Estadio GNP Seguros), the Tokyo Dome, Accor Stadium (Sydney), Singapore National Stadium, Nanterre’s Paris La Défense Arena, London’s Wembley Stadium and the Rogers Centre in Toronto. Additionally, two gigs at Lumen Field in Seattle in July 2023 caused seismic activity equivalent to a 2.3-magnitude earthquake.
