The Largest gathering of people wearing traditional Kazakh clothing is 5,000 and was achieved by the people of the Mangystau region under the leadership of the Akimat of Mangystau region (N.I. Kilybai) (All Kazakhstan) in Aktau, Mangystau region, Kazakhstan, on 22nd March 2025
The attempt was held to celebrate Nauryz, the start of Kazakh new year. Aktau city on the east coast of the Caspian sea has been elected as the “Cultural Capital of the Turkic World 2025” and the city was partly closed for 'Best Fest Aktau Nauryz' of which this GWR attempt was the main attraction, alongside live musical performances and traditional dancing on one stage.
