On 19 December 2024, LeBron James (USA) logged 34 minutes of gameplay to bring his career total to 57,471 minutes in regular season matches, the most ever by a player in National Basketball Association (NBA) history.
James, who has played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers since 2003, surpassed the previous mark of 57,446 by Kareem Abdul Jabbar.
James is also the league’s all-time leader in minutes played, including playoffs, having surpassed the record also previously held by Abdul-Jabbar (66,297) in a loss against the Philadelphia 76ers in November 2023.
