Drake (Canada, b. Aubrey Drake Graham) won three times at the 31st Billboard Music Awards on 12 December 2024 to take his collection of trophies from the event to 42. From eight nominations, the record-smashing rapper won Top Rap Artist, Top Rap Male Artist and Top Rap Album (For All the Dogs).

Drake began the night in a tie with Taylor Swift on a record 39 Billboard Music Awards won, but her 10 wins – including Top Artist, Hot 100 Artist and Billboard 200 Artist – saw the absolute title for most BMAs won head to the Pennsylvanian on the eve of her 35th birthday. But Drake did take the male title long held by Michael Jackson (USA, 1958–2009), who won 40 Billboard Music Awards over his career.

Swift also beat Drake to the Billboard 200 Artist and Billboard 200 Album prizes, while Top Male Artist went to Morgan Wallen, in a field that also included Zach Bryan, Luke Combs and Post Malone alongside “Drizzy”. The BMAs’ biggest award, Top Artist, was won by Drake in 2017, 2019 and 2022.
