Esportsearnings has logged the winnings of 9,096 Chinese gamers. The country's top earner is Wang "Ame" Chunyu, whose total stands at $4.2 million.

The most lucrative game for the country is Dota 2 (Valve, 2013), which is responsible for $85.77 million in prize money for Chinese players. The single most lucrative event for Chinese gamers was The International 2016: Dota 2 Championships held in Seattle, USA, which earned Chinese teams $10.68 million - just over half of the available prize pot of $20.77 million; this was also the first esports tournament to offer more than $20 million in prize money.
