The most Ice Miles by a male swimmer is 16 by Ger Kennedy (Ireland) between 24 February 2013 and 25 October 2024, with the most recent completed at Longyearbyen in Svalbard, Norway. All his swims have been recognized by the International Ice Swimming Association.
As per IISA regulations, for all swims the water temperature has to be below 5°C (41°F) for the swim to qualify.
