The longest run ranked as No.1 by a singles male professional pickleball player is 4 years 2 months (50 months), achieved by Ben Johns (USA) between February 2020 and April 2024.

Not surprisingly, Johns is considered one of the most successful pickleball players of all time. During that run, he logged an unprecedented streak of 108 consecutive match wins. As of 13 October 2024, he had accrued the most Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) titles: 141, across singles (40, also a record among male players), men's doubles (44) and mixed doubles (57).

The longest No.1 streak for a singles female player is the same: Simone Jardim (USA, b. Brazil) was at the top of her game for 50 months between April 2016 and June 2020, with her run disrupted by the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic.
