The longest run ranked as No.1 by a singles female professional pickleball player is 4 years 2 months (50 months), achieved by Simone Jardim (USA, b. Brazil) between April 2016 and June 2020.
In that time, the former tennis player won the US Open Pickleball Championships women's singles four years in a row (2016–19) and on two of those occasions (2017–18), she claimed Triple Crowns (i.e., making a clean sweep of the three main categories – women's singles, women's doubles and mixed doubles – at a single event.
Jardim's phenomenal streak at the top of the women's rankings was only brought to an end as competitions began to be wound down because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Known as the "Queen of Pickleball", Jardim was inducted into the Pickleball Hall of Fame in November 2024.
Her closest rival in the singles field is Anna Leigh Waters, who has been No.1 on the Association of Pickleball Players (APP) Tour since March 2022 (31 months as of October 2024) and counting.
