Most codicils in a will

The largest number of codicils (supplements modifying the details) to a will admitted to probate is 21, in the case of the will of J. Paul Getty (USA, b. 15 December 1892). The will was dated 22 September 1958 and had 21 codicils dating from 18 June 1960 through to 11 March 1976. Getty died on 6 June 1976.
