Rohit Sharma (India) and Glenn Maxwell (Australia) had both scored five centuries in T20 Internationals (T20Is) as of 22 November 2024. Opener Sharma made his T20I debut on 19 September 2007, but he had to wait until 2 October 2015 for his first ton – 106 against South Africa in Dharamsala, India. Scores of 118, 100 not out and 111 not out followed, and on 17 January 2024 he brought up his fifth T20I hundred – a captain’s knock of 121 not out – to help see off Afghanistan in Bengaluru, India, but only after two super overs. Middle-order batter Maxwell made his T20I debut on 5 September 2012, but it was almost exactly four years later, on 6 September 2016, that he first reached three figures, making 145 not out against hosts Sri Lanka in Pallekele. His next tons were also not outs: 103, 113 and 104. Then, on 11 February 2024, a month after Sharma had scored his fifth T20I hundred, Maxwell did the same against the West Indies in Adelaide, Australia, with a typically brutal 55-ball innings of 120 not out.

Suryakumar Yadav of India had made four T20I hundreds as of 22 November 2024, while six men – including Pakistan’s Babar Azam and England’s Phil Salt – had scored three.
