Aslam Mohammad (b. 8 August 1971) was 53 years 14 days old when he captained Greece for the first time – against Denmark in a T20 World Cup Sub Regional Europe Qualifier in Port Soif, Guernsey – on 22 August 2024. No one in the history of the men’s or women’s game has made their captaincy debut for an international team at a greater age.
Mohammad won the toss and elected to field first, but that was as good as it got for Greece (134 for 8) as Denmark (166 for 8) won by 32 runs. Mohammad was out for a run-a-ball 10, which included a six.
He made his T20I debut on 15 October 2019 and has a top score of 61.
