The longest distance elimination in Fortnite using a telescope is 1,161.31 m (3,810 ft 1 in) and was achieved by Martin Foss Andersen (Norway) in Ørsvågvær, Norway, on 27 November 2024.
The attempt was produced and filmed by Red Bull with the help of Perspective Pictures.
The professional gamer and influencer Martin ‘MrSavage’ Foss Andersen has been an avid Fortnite player since it's launch. In 2018 the Norwegian gamer started streaming and he’s now one of Norway’s most successful Fortnite players.
The location, within the Arctic circle in Northern Norway, had only has 3-4 hours of sunlight a day at the time of the attempt. Conditions were not so clear with occasional rain and snow too, making the attempt even more challenging and there were some breaks due to this. However the attempt carried on past sunlight and that helped Martin clearer visualise the monitor.
The telescope, computer, mouse and keyboard was set up at a location with coordinates 68.2094630, 14.4021156 and the monitor set up at 68.2023673, 14.4226257. Martin achieved the title after about 2 hrs of trying.
