The Hanson brothers (Isaac, b. 17 November 1980; Taylor, b. 14 March 1983; and Zachary, b. 22 October 1985; all USA) had an average age of 14 years 64 days when their debut album, Middle of Nowhere, spent its first and only week at No.1 on the UK’s Official Albums Chart on 21 June 1997.
Hanson top a list of young UK Albums Chart leaders that also includes McFly (average age 18 years 50 days), One Direction (19 years 222 days), Ash (19 years 290 days), Arctic Monkeys (20 years 21 days), 5 Seconds of Summer (20 years 34 days), The Shadows (20 years 53 days), Boyzone (20 years 80 days), New Kids on the Block (20 years 87 days), Atomic Kitten (20 years 357 days), Sugababes (21 years 109 days), Bay City Rollers (21 years 175 days), The Beatles (21 years 231 days) and Paramore (21 years 259 days), among others.
