This unprecedented turnout underscores the global resolve to address one of the most critical human rights challenges of our time. The conference, organized by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), highlighted the urgent need for collective action and reinforced the importance of shared responsibility in safeguarding children from violence in all its forms. It provided a platform for governments to exchange best practices, strategies, and commitments aimed at strengthening legal frameworks and social programs that protect children from harm.

The record achievement of 119 countries at the conference reflects the increasing global commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 16.2, which calls for an end to abuse, exploitation, trafficking, and all forms of violence against children.

Record attempt - The attempt began on November 7th with the arrival of delegations from all registered countries. Participants entered through an identification validation registration and received a badge with the visible information of the representative country. The main evidence was the database with the names and countries of each person registered at the event where we confirmed a total of 119 people representing each country (many others also registered, however for the guideline we will only have within the count 1 as a minimum representation for each country).
