The longest running TV forum programme is Question Time (BBC, UK), which was first broadcast on 25th September 1979 and is still running once a week in the UK.   The programme allows the TV studio and home audience to question a panel of top decision-makers about current policies / topics.  It is broadcasted from a different town / city in the UK each week. Each year, approximately 30,000 members of the public apply to join the debate.  Those who cannot get into the studio audience can submit their questions / opinions via the internet.
It is currently hosted by David Dimbleby. Previous hosts include Sir Robin Day and Peter Sissons.
