The longest unbeaten streak by a football (soccer) Serie A team is 58 matches, achieved by AC Milan (Italy) between 26 May 1991 and 21 March 1993.
Under the guidance of manager Fabio Capello, AC Milan dominated the Italian top-flight in the early 1990s. They won the final match of the 1990/91 season before going the entire 1991/92 season unbeaten – the first time an Italian club had managed that feat in Serie A. They were given the nickname Gli invincibili (“The Invincibles”). AC Milan’s streak was finally ended the following season by Parma, who inflicted a 0–1 home reverse on 21 March 1993.
