The farthest distance covered on foot in one week (II2) (IS1) is 100.17 km (62.86 mi), and was achieved by Michael Beynon (UK) in Llangollen, UK on 13 October 2024.

Michael displayed tremendous endurance to cover an extremely lengthy distance of just over 100 kilometres within 7 days. Michael took part in a gruelling Cardiff Half Marathon at the start of the week. Thereafter he took part in various runs and walks across Wales in town/cities such as Llanelli, Stackpole, Aberaeron, Aberystwyth, Llanymynech, Llangefni, and Llangollen. Whilst racking up the kilometres, fellow Mencap members joined him from around the country. Michael was able to find time to visit different Mencap groups in each of the towns, not only was he showing the other members his fitness but was kind enough to talk about it with them. This record attempt encapsulated Michael's burning passion for health and fitness. Being a record holder of a tough record is a testament to that.
