Largest collection of rubber stamps

As of August 2001, James Burton of Aberdare, Wales (UK) holds the world record for the largest personal collection of rubber stamps with 1,251 different rubber stamps to his name.

Burton stores his collection on any spare surface in his home that he can find! He has paid anything from 5p to £20 for pieces in his collection. In April 2003, his favourite "stamper" was "a Jungle Book mini stamper of an elephant the size of a small fingernail, contained in a mini compact with an ink pad hidden under the cobra... my least favourite is a cabbage stamper."

NOTE: He has sinced scaled his collection down to 500 of the most rare, collectable and antique stampers.
