Longest time to complete an album

The album David Axelrod (Mo Wax Records) by David Axelrod (USA) released in the UK on 16 July 2001, took a record 32 yrs 123 days to complete from when the rhythm section was first recorded in May 1968 to when the tracks were remixed on 3 October 2000 at Capitol B Studios, Los Angeles, USA. From the first recording section in 1968, the strings, reeds, brass and vocals were written from July - September 2000, with the instrumentals being recorded on 27 - 28 September, the vocals on the 29 September 2000 and finally the tracks being re-mixed on 2-3 October 2000.
