The largest GPS drawing by an electric battery powered car is 23,849 km and was achieved by Rainer Zietlow and Marius Biela (both Germany) in a Volkswagen ID.4 in Australia from 14 August to 25 September 2024.

This record breaking journey commemorated 70 years of business in Australia for Volkswagen. Volkswagen, along with numerous other sponsors, set Rainer and Marius on the task of writing their anniversary slogan and imagery across Australia. The drawing spells out "70 years of Vee Dub," complete with a heart on the island of Tasmania and a victory lap of the entire mainland to encapsulate the image. Volkswagen also wanted to show off that Australia and the world are ready for electric vehicles to be more mainstream. With this record title they hope to inspire others to go electric using the infrastructure and charging stations already in place within Australia. Rainer currently holds multiple record titles including highest altitude achieved in an electric car.
