The fastest time to climb Julianatop (team) is 5 days 8 hr 35 min, achieved by Ash Dykes, Jacob Hudson, Matthew Wallace (all UK) and Dick Lock (Netherlands) in the Sipaliwini District, Suriname, from 30 August to 4 September 2024.
The team were dropped by helicopter at the base of Julianatop, Suriname's highest peak, and hiked through the jungle to reach the summit. They then made their way downstream and navigated the Coppename River in kayaks to achieve a second record for the first team to row the length of the Coppename River by canoe/kayak.
