Between 26 May and 4 June 2000, Psychologist Richard Wiseman (University of Hertfordshire) led an experiment in which 1,027 volunteers walked around parts of Hampton Court Palace, reputably one of the most haunted locations in the UK. The volunteers documented any unusual experiences or sensations and the results were collected for psychological analysis.
