In June 2023, the popular multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (Moonton, 2016) was included as a demonstration event at the ASEAN Para Games, appearing alongside established para sports such as wheelchair basketball and goalball.

The Philippine team, made up of Marvin Angelo Ignacio, Chester Gonzales, Joshua Detera, Jasper Lorenz Ambat and Ashly Paghubasa, won gold.
