The largest display of origami cats consists of 7,680 pieces and was attempted by DENSO TECHNO CO., LTD. (Japan) in Anjo, Aichi, Japan on 24 October 2024.
The attempt was part of DENSO TECHNO's 40th-anniversary employee event, aimed at strengthening team unity and inspiring motivation for the next decade. Approximately 7,000 employees from the DENSO TECHNO group (in Japan and the Philippines) each folded one origami cat, which belongs to the same family as the company's corporate character, 'TECHNOSUKE,' the cheetah. These origami cats were then attached to a 40th-anniversary design panel to complete the display.
