The oldest figure skating world champion (female) is Deanna Stellato-Dudek (Canada, b. USA, b. 22 June 1983), who was aged 40 years 273 days when she took gold in the pairs skating in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on 21 March 2024.
Stellato-Dudek competed for the USA as a singles figure skater before injuries forced her into retirement in 2001. She returned more than decade later, in the pairs skating, and obtained Canadian citizenship to compete with partner Maxime Deschamps. They took gold on home ice at the 2024 ISU World Championships, with Stellato-Dudek becoming the oldest woman to win a world championship title in any category since 38-year-old Ludowika Jakobsson in 1923.
