British actresses Jasmine Jobson (2020 and 2023-24) and Lesley Manville (2016 and 2023-24) have both attracted three nominations in the British Academy (BAFTA) Television Awards’ Supporting Actress category. All three of Jobson’s nods have been for playing Jacqueline “Jaq” Lawrence in Series 3-5 of the crime drama Top Boy (Netflix). Manville was first nominated for her role as Detective Chief Inspector Chrissie Read in River (BBC/Netflix); her latest nods have been in recognition of portraying Julie Jackson in the crime drama Sherwood (BBC), and Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon in Seasons 5-6 of The Crown (Netflix).
Their competition in 2024 includes Elizabeth Debicki (Diana, Princess of Wales in The Crown) – one of an unrivalled eight nominations for the royal drama – and Nico Parker (b. 9 December 2004; Sarah Miller in The Last of Us), who, at 19 years 155 days old, will be the youngest Supporting Actress winner if she triumphs at the 70th BAFTA TV Awards at the Royal Festival Hall in London, UK, on 12 May 2024.
