Simon has been canoeing and kayaking for over 15 years and is an active member of the Marlow Canoe Club. He trained for the attempt by kayaking twice a week and adding running and yoga to his training. He started the attempt at Lechlade Bridge at 16:05 and finished at Teddington lock at 16:51 the next day.
