In 2022, game developer Digital Eclipse released a documentary, Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration, marking the golden anniversary of the US electronic entertainment pioneer Atari.

Unlike your regular passive Netflix or YouTube experience, though, Atari 50 allows console and PC users the chance to play along with more than 100 games from the company’s history, including Asteroids, Pong and Missile Command.

As if Atari 50’s 103 original games were not enough, there are also six new titles from Digital Eclipse that take inspiration from the company’s back catalogue: Haunted Houses, VCTR-SCTR, Yars’ Revenge Reimagined, Swordquest: AirWorld, Quadratank and Neo Breakout.
