Since the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) introduced its awards on 14 March 1958, The Beatles (UK) hold the record for the group with the most multi-Platinum albums (for sales of 2 million or more) with 26.

Led Zeppelin come next among groups, with 14 multi-Platinum albums as of 1 March 2026, followed by AC/DC (12), Aerosmith (12), Pink Floyd (12), Van Halen (12), Eagles (11), The Rolling Stones (11), U2 (11) and Metallica (11).

Elvis Presley is the act with the second-most Platinum albums overall: 25, as of 1 March 2026.
