The only athlete to have won a share of the jackpot in the IAAF Golden League twice is middle-distance runner, Hicham El Guerrouj (Morocco), 1998 and 2000. To win a share of the jackpot an athlete must win five of the seven IAAF Grand Prix meetings in a season and remain undefeated. Originally the jackpot was $1 million but is currently 50 kg of gold.
