Most concurrent views for an esports event

At precisely 11:10 am on 19 November 2023, 6,402,760 concurrent viewers were watching the final at the global League of Legends (Riot Games, 2009) tournament between Weibo Gaming (China) and T1 (Korea).

This outstripped the previous record of 5,415,990 by almost a million, and the gap would have been even bigger if the viewer stats had been included for China, especially with a Chinese team in the final. However, problems tracking the numbers for verification resulted in their exclusion (which also reduced the credibility of an alleged total of 78 million in 2021).

In the end, on home ground in Seoul, South Korea, T1 comprehensively defeated Weibo Gaming 3–0.
