Way back in 1999, a gang of Spanish gaming fans – including David Cordovilla, Albert González and Isaac Viana – began discussing all things gaming on their radio show Game Over. What started off on Ràdio Despí then became “one of the first radio shows to post shows online before all the podcast stuff”. Contrary to its name, there is no sign of Game Over stopping any time soon.
As a flashback to the gaming world almost a quarter-century ago, one of the first shows by Game Over (30 Dec 2000) named Jet Set Radio (Smilebit, 2000) as its pick of the week. Focusing on a young graffiti gang, it was the first game to use cel-shading (making 3D computer graphics appear hand-drawn).
