Rohan Bopanna (India, b. 4 March 1980) was 43 years 15 days old when he won the Indian Wells Open men’s doubles title with Australia’s Matthew Ebden in California, USA, on 19 March 2023. They defeated top seeds Wesley Koolhof and Neal Skupski in the final, 6–3, 2–6, 10–8 after a match tie-break.


Bopanna’s former doubles partner, Daniel Nestor (Canada, b. 4 September 1972), had been the oldest winner of an ATP Masters 1000 tournament, securing his 28th and final title with Frenchman Édouard Roger-Vasselin at the Western & Southern Open (aka the Cincinnati Masters) on 23 August 2015, at the age of 42 years 353 days.
