El Alma Al Aire (The Bared Soul) by Alejandro Sanz released in October 2000, was the fastest selling album in Spain with a record 500,000 advance orders and sales over one million copies in it's first week of release (equivalent to 20 million in the US).
A total of 800,000 albums were also shipped to South and North America.
