Most platinum RIAA albums - country music artist

Since 1991, George Strait (USA) has earned 33 Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) platinum album awards (for sales in excess of 1 million copies in the USA). Thirteen of his albums – led by the four-disc box set Strait out of the Box (1995) – have sold more than 2 million copies, with total US sales for all his platinum releases standing at more than 66 million copies.

Strait out of the Box has been certified 8x platinum. Its most recent award was confirmed on 29 July 2003.

Six more albums by Strait were certified gold (US sales in excess of 500,000 copies) by the RIAA between 2001 and 2014.

Only Elvis Presley (67) and The Beatles (42) have more platinum album awards than George Strait. Garth Brooks (30) is the next best country music artist, followed by Alabama (20) and Reba McEntire (19).
