On 10 June 2000, The Marshall Mathers LP debuted at No.1 on the US Billboard 200 albums chart after selling 1.76 million copies in the first week. Eminem’s (USA, b. Marshall Mathers III) third studio album is the fourth-fastest-selling album in US chart history after Adele’s 25 (2015; 3.37 million first-week copies sold) and two *NSYNC titles: No Strings Attached (2000; 2.41 million) and Celebrity (2001; 1.88 million).


Eminem has two other 1-million-plus-selling albums in the first week: Encore (1.58 million in 2004) and The Eminem Show (1.32 million in 2002).
