The most marathon distances completed on sand in one month (male) is 30, and was achieved by Spencer Matthews (UK), in Jordan, from 29 July to 27 August 2024.
Spencer chose one of the most difficult climates on earth to complete this challenge. All runs had to be done on sand and completed in under 6 hours to be eligible.
The event raised money for the non-profit Global’s Make Some Noise which funds small charities delivering vital services including food banks, mental health support, domestic violence helplines, community projects and other vital life support programmes.
