The first remote-controlled (RC) model airplane take-off and landing on a remote-controlled (RC) model aircraft carrier was achieved by James Whomsley (UK) at Rudyard Lake, Staffordshire, United Kingdom on 15 October 2023.

James managed to successfully land a scale US Navy F-4U Corsair on the deck of the RC aircraft carrier after two pervious attempts with other aircraft had failed, maybe due the fact they were not navy planes unlike the Corsair making it a fitting landing for a spectacular model aircraft carrier.
