The two dogs Veterok (Little Wind) and Ugolek (Little Piece of Coal) spent 22 days orbiting the Earth during the Soviet Kosmos 110 mission (launched 22 Feb 1966). This record was not surpassed by humans until the Skylab 4 mission in 1974.
