The National Hockey League (NHL) record for most seasons scoring 30 or more goals is 17, and it has been achieved twice. First by Mike Gartner (Canada) while playing for six teams between 1979 and 1998, and then by Alex Ovechkin (Russian Federation) while playing for the Washington Capitals since the 2005/06 season.
Ovechkin equalled Gartner's record in January 2023 after scoring his 30th goal of the season against the Philadelphia Flyers.
