Is is estimated tht the USA consumed 3,982 billion KW/hr in 2007, which ammounts to nearly a quarter of the whole world's consumption of electricity in that year, which came to 17,480 billion KW/hr. China was the second largest consumer with a rate of 3,271 billion KW/hr.
