Taylor Swift (USA) picked up her eighth nomination for Song of the Year ahead of the 67th Grammy Awards on 2 February 2025. “You Belong with Me” (2010), “Shake It Off” (2015), “Blank Space” (2016), “Lover” (2020), “cardigan” (2021), “All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version)” (2023), “Anti-Hero” (2024) and “Fortnight” (feat. Post Malone, 2025) have all been shortlisted for the prestigious Song of the Year accolade, a category Swift, surprisingly, has not yet won.
Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” was named Song of the Year at the 67th Grammy Awards, extending Swift’s long wait for a gramophone trophy in one of the event’s most prestigious categories.
Paul McCartney (1965–67, 1969, 1971 and 1983), Lionel Richie (1979, 1981–82 and 1984–86), Beyoncé (2001, 2010, 2017, 2021, 2023 and 2025) and Jack Antonoff (2013, 2020, twice in 2024 and twice in 2025) have all received six nominations for Song of the Year, an award that goes to the winning song’s writer(s). Swift has been the credited writer or co-writer for all eight of her nominated tracks.
