Taylor Swift (USA) picked up her seventh nomination for Song of the Year ahead of the 66th Grammy Awards on 4 February 2024. “You Belong with Me” (2010), “Shake It Off” (2015), “Blank Space” (2016), “Lover” (2020), “cardigan” (2021), “All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version)” (2023) and “Anti-Hero” (2024) have all been shortlisted for the prestigious Song of the Year accolade, a category Swift had not won at the time of the announcement of her latest nomination on 10 November 2023.

If she’s to make it seventh time lucky in 2024, Swift will have to beat a female-dominated category that also features Jon Batiste, Miley Cyrus, Lana Del Rey, Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo, SZA and 2020 winner Billie Eilish.

Paul McCartney (1965–67, 1969, 1971 and 1983) and Lionel Richie (1979, 1981–82 and 1984–86) have both received six nominations for Song of the Year, an award that goes to the winning song’s writer(s). Swift is the credited writer or co-writer for all seven of her nominated tracks.
