India’s (341 for 5) “win for the ages” against Australia (338 all out) at the Women’s Cricket World Cup in Navi Mumbai on 30 October 2025 was the highest successful run chase completed in a women’s One-Day International (ODI). Jemimah Rodrigues (127 not out) and captain Harmanpreet Kaur (89) were the mainstays of India’s remarkable semi-final fightback at DY Patil Sports Academy, in response to an Australia innings featuring 127 from opener Phoebe Litchfield. India reached their target with nine balls to spare.

World Cup hosts India turned the tables on Australia from earlier in the tournament, when a group match on 12 October ended with Australia (331 for 7) chasing down India’s 330 all out in Visakhapatnam – at that time, the highest successful ODI run chase in the women’s game. Sri Lanka’s 305 for 4 (44.3 overs) against hosts South Africa (301 for 5) at Senwes Park in Potchefstroom on 17 April 2024 had stood as the highest successful run chase in a women’s ODI before the format’s 1,498th and 1,519th matches, respectively, at the 2025 World Cup in Visakhapatnam and Navi Mumbai.
