Largest hobbyhorse world championship

The largest hobbyhorse championship involved 2,000 participants and was achieved by the Finnish Hobbyhorse Association (Suomen Keppihevosharrastajat ry) at Seinäjoki Areena in Seinäjoki, Finland, on 18 June 2022.

The event was first organized in Finland in 2010, completing 10 years – barring the pandemic period. Although it first started in Finland, enthusiasts can be found in neighbouring countries too, who travel to Seinäjoki to compete.

In addition to show jumping, young children and adults also participate for the dressage and western riding championship.

Contestants use four different kinds of stick horses, usually sewn by hand, in 14 divisions.
